different from other companies that provide the same service?
JUST LIKE FAMILY HOME CARE is family
owned and operated, which sets us apart. At JUST LIKE FAMILY
HOME CARE, we have a person available after hours, on weekends and
holidays, to help in emergency situations.
We specialize in Live-In service and "match-making" of clients and
caregivers. We have developed relationships with many other
service companies to assist your every need including Medicare
Agencies, Assisted Living Facilities, Cleaning Services, Moving
Companies, Transport Services, Physical Therapists and Personal
Trainers, Caterers, and Locksmiths to name few. WE DO NOT CHARGE
DIFFERENTLY FOR NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS!
Does JUST LIKE FAMILY HOME CARE require you to sign a contract?
No. There are no contracts
whatsoever. We want this process to be as easy as possible for you
- No headaches.
Does
JUST LIKE FAMILY HOME CARE have any weekly minimums?
We do NOT have any weekly minimums at
JUST LIKE FAMILY HOME CARE. If you need a caregiver to help you
around your home, do laundry and grocery shop for you once a week,
it is NO problem.
Help!
My Mom is being discharged from the hospital. Now what?
She will probably be set up with a
Medicare agency for skilled services such as wound care, physical
therapy and/or occupational therapy. Then you will want to decide
on a practical schedule for her with a Home Health Aide. You will
also want to make sure that the home is safe and accessible for
her. Things to consider; stairs, carpets, grab bars, etc. We will
meet with you to discuss it - at NO charge.
It's
Sunday night and I need a caregiver to stay with my Dad tonight. Is
anyone available to help me?
Good news! JUST LIKE FAMILY HOME

is available to you 24/7 in an emergency situation, even on
holidays! We work excellent under pressure, and we are only a phone
call away.
My wife cannot stay home alone and I'd
like to go play golf once in a while. Can JUST LIKE FAMILY
HOME CARE help me?
With JUST LIKE FAMILY
HOME CARE, there
are NO weekly minimums. If you need us once in a while, we will
still be able to be of service to you and you will receive the same
personalized service as every other client.
Our
whole family is going out of town for a wedding and Grandma, who
lives with me, is not well enough to travel. Do you provide Live-In
Caregivers?
As long as Grandma is sleeping at night, she is the perfect
candidate for a live-in scenario. A live-in caregiver provides
one-on-one care and the security of someone always being there. It
is a very economical option and the peace of mind it will give
your family is priceless.
Everyone will be able to relax and enjoy the trip knowing that
Grandma is in the capable hands of JUST LIKE FAMILY HOME CARE.
I need to go up north but cannot travel
alone. Do you provide travel companions?
For a minimal fee,
JUST LIKE FAMILY HOME CARE can provide caregivers that will travel with you. They can
either stay with you or simply escort you on the airplane.
I have a Colonoscopy scheduled next
week. I need someone to drive me there, wait for me and then take
me home. Do you provide this service?
Absolutely! For our regular hourly fee,
we can provide someone to transport you to an appointment.
How do you find your caregivers?
We are fortunate enough to get most of
our caregivers through personal referrals. Many of our caregivers
refer family members, friends, and church members. We know every
caregiver that we send out to your home PERSONALLY.
What happens if I don't like my
caregiver?
While we make every effort to match
patients with caregivers based on both skill and personality, this
can happen. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with
your caregiver, please call us and we will make an immediate change.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Our preferred method of payment is
credit card. For your convenience, we accept all major credit
cards. Look for one that gives you points or rewards for
purchases! We also accept check payments and assignment of benefits
with insurance companies.
Do you charge extra for nights and
weekends?
No we do not! The only time that we
bill extra is on seven major holidays (New Years Day, Easter Sunday,
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day,
Christmas Day) in order to compensate our caregivers for forfeiting
their holiday to work.
Do you accept my Long Term Care
Insurance?
JUST LIKE FAMILY HOME CARE accepts Long
Term Care Insurance. If you are unsure about whether or not your
insurance covers our services, please contact us. Our Insurance
Department will be happy to call your company and inquire on your
behalf. We will fill out any paperwork that we can to make this
easier for you.
Do you accept Medicare?
We do NOT accept Medicare payments.
Unfortunately, Medicare will not cover the type of services that
JUST LIKE FAMILY HOME CARE offers. If you are looking for Medicare
services, please call us for a personal referral.
How do we decide on a schedule?
Things to consider when choosing a
schedule:
♥What time do you wake up in the
morning?
♥Do you need assistance with breakfast?
♥Do you need help with showering and or
dressing?
♥Do you want to shower in the morning or
evening?
♥Do you need assistance with lunch?
♥What time do you eat dinner?
♥Do you need help getting ready for bed?
♥What time do you go to bed?
♥Are you sleeping through the night?
We will meet with you to discuss all of
your options - at NO charge.
I am having an out
patient procedure done. My doctor says I don't need an aide, but I
am still nervous about remembering to take my pills, preparing
meals, etc. What do you think?
If you are anxious
about being home alone after a procedure, our suggestion would be to
set up services before hand. It is always better to have something
set up in advance, and you can cancel it if you decide you don't
need it. As long as you give us at least one hour's notice, you can
cancel with no penalties. This way you have the peace of mind that
you will have a caregiver if you need one. As they say "Better safe
than sorry".
